AI content disclosure
Last updated: April 22, 2026
How we use AI
Some text published by The SkinRite is created or refined with the help of generative AI tools — drafting assistance, rephrasing, and section structuring. AI is used as a productivity aid, not as a substitute for human judgment about what we publish. Product rankings, picks, and recommendations are editorial calls made by a human; AI never decides which product wins a category.
Human review
A human reviews and edits AI-assisted content before publication. We fact-check claims where practical, align wording with our editorial standards, and ensure disclosures (including affiliate and FTC notices) appear where required.
Data sources
Product prices, ratings, review counts, stock status, and specifications are pulled live from third-party data providers (currently Canopy / Amazon Product Advertising API) and cached briefly in our catalog. When a live field returns empty, we hide the surface rather than fabricate one. We never synthesise reviews, ratings, or sales counts.
Affiliate and platform policies
We aim to comply with applicable Amazon Associates Program policies and relevant FTC guidance on advertising and endorsements. That includes being transparent about commercial relationships and not presenting AI-assisted content in a misleading way. Full terms live on the affiliate disclosure page.
Limits of AI output
Generative tools can be wrong or outdated. Do not rely solely on this site for safety-critical, medical, legal, or financial decisions. When in doubt, consult primary sources, professionals, or the manufacturer directly.
Updates
As tools and policies evolve, we may update this disclosure. Check the “Last updated” date above for changes.
